Default Should P5 Junior and lightweight cut off dates be extend to 1983 to allow RZ's

What do you think. These bikes were great proddy racers but dont' have an Historic class to race cometively in? Should the Historic Commission be lobbied to consider including these in P5?

Keen to see what others think...

Cheers

Mark

Default No way

Here in Tassie some Bozo wanted to extend the historic class every year
So every year your bike would become a little more uncompetive , and eventually you would be flogging a dead horse , so you would give up racing ,

Thumbs down

NO!!!!! Leave it as it is.

Bringing in RZs will ruin a perfectly good class. At the last Australian Historic Nationals, the P5 350 class was the only stand alone class, packed full of TZs and LCs.

Bringing in RZs would surely reduce the number of LCs that race.

The cut-off date is 1982 (and should have stayed at '80). The RZ is a period 6 bike. If it is uncompetitive in period 6, bad luck. You can't change the rules to suit one particular bike.

If you change the cut off to '83, then what about the '84 model bike that is uncompetitive? Someone will want to change the cut off to suit that bike, and on it goes.
