I've just bought a TZ250W should be here early April.

Will try run in NE2 250 at Club rounds so I can run the Spondon TZ350 in FE350 still and the Spondon TZ250 in FE250 but will do the bigger meets in P6 250

I'm new on here but not new to the TZs but have just bought a 250U to keep the 4DP company. I plan to race this bike in the P6 class next year. My understanding is that you can not use avgas in this class but reading the manual of sport I can see it mentioned for the P6 class. Anyway my bike is set up to run avgas so will I need to convert it over? If so can someone let me know what squish and cc to set it to. I bought a new set of heads that I was planning to cut if needed. I measured the head volume last night with the NOS head on a flat surface and got 13.9cc to the top of the plug hole and 14.2cc for the one on the bike. As my engine is apart at the moment I don't know what the protrusion or squish of the existing set up is.

Yes, you can use Avgas. It's fine for historic racing and is what I use in my TZ250A P6 bike.

"16.11.0.2 Leaded fuel, providing that:
a) The fuel is purchased from suppliers
approved by Environment Australia"

That sounds like a big head . The V twin TZs use about 8.3cc head volume for avgas. The U should be about the same.
