Unlike the unlimiteds which have been totally screwed as far as the clubman racers are concerned - unless you have a mega budget - but lets not go there

I agree, no RZs, but... I think that power valve 250s ie TZ250H/J should be allowed to run in the P5 350 class as they are elsewhere

The poll so far:
For: 0%
Against: 100%

I think that gives a clear indication of the competitors views.

I got a rule change here a few years ago to ensure rz's were out of our pre 82 class via specific exclusion. I also included vf Hondas and a few others to preserve pre 82. The key point was that while the models in question did not display technology that wasn't already in the market, it was the fact that these models had so many of these aspects together. Eg anti dive water cooling rising rate rear suspension etc etc. this cut off is a major step in the technological progression.

With technology available now, I reckon an rz's would make 90hp.

Don't fix what ain't broken. Leave well alone, though I do agree with Rod's suggestion for Pv TZ250's. works here.

Al

The 1980 cut-off worked fine, it even stopped the alloy Spondon frames now entering the odd race here & there. So what happened to the 'no alloy frame rule'.
There are quite a lot of small manufacturers out there making almost everything for the TZ350's now, don't spoil it.
If you are unhappy with your RZ make it a 421cc non-power valve, or a 485cc banshee/TSS (Cairns) and race it in P6 500 class.
Don't even mention the unlimited 2valve vs 4valve situation.

As per my other post. That's cool. Just a question.. Sounds like a resounding no! ....
re P6 500/400 - is this much of class in NSW / Qld / Vic. - only a couple of VFR 400's in WA at this stage..

DJ & Brian - would you guy's ride RZ's in P6 500 or happy at the mo to stick to P5 only????

No, I probably wouldn't as I prefer LC 's and TZ's and no room in the shed , we do have two guys that intermittantly ride RZ's in rule20/ period 6 500s.
